Real Songs, Real Artists: Why We Built Latido
Eddie (Solo.X) · 2026-09-22
I'm Eddie. I make music as Solo.X, and I built Latido because the platforms that are supposed to help new artists won't touch AI music.
Try getting an AI-made track picked up by a curated playlist, a music blog, or one of the self-appointed "tastemaker" accounts that decide what's worth hearing. Most won't consider it. Some have an actual policy against it. They came up with a name for it too: AI slop, as if the tool you used tells you anything about whether the song is any good.
That's not going to age well. AI in music isn't a trend to wait out. Most working artists already use it somewhere in their process, whether they admit it or not, and more of what people stream every year is built with it from the first idea to the final mix. The platforms pretending otherwise aren't protecting music. They're just late.
So I stopped waiting for permission and built the place I wanted: a community for artists making music with AI, where nobody has to justify the tool they used. Latido is people first. The prompt, the style tags and the lyrics on every track page aren't the pitch, they're just what happens once you stop treating AI music like something to hide.
What makes Latido different
- Any genre, any language, any country. Latido isn't a Latin site or an English one. It's for artists from everywhere.
- Every track has its own page with the prompt, the style tags and the full lyrics, not just the audio.
- No tool is favored. Suno, Udio, whatever you use, you get equal billing.
- The numbers are real. Trending and New This Week reflect what's actually being played and actually uploaded this week, not a total that only ever goes up.
- Comments and feedback are built in, so you can ask other artists what's working and what isn't.
Why community, not just a catalog
No one else was building this for AI artists, so I did. A tool helps you make a song. It doesn't help you know if it's any good, or introduce you to anyone who cares. That's the gap Latido fills. Artists on Latido can follow each other, comment on tracks, ask for feedback on a track that isn't landing yet, and trade prompts and lyric ideas in our Discord, the stuff that actually improves the next track.
How we'll help every artist who joins
This isn't a vague promise. Here's exactly what Latido does for you when you share your music:
- A Founding Artist badge, permanent, for the first 50 artists who share a track.
- Trending and New This Week give every artist a fair slot, not just whoever uploads the most.
- Genre, style and "made with" pages, so your track can be found by search beyond Latido itself. Someone searching for lo-fi, country or reggaeton made with AI can land directly on your track.
- An embeddable player, so you can put your music on your own website or blog, hosted and tracked by us, always linking back to you.
- We'll spotlight tracks ourselves, on Latido's own Instagram, X and Facebook, and in our Discord.
One honest note
Latido is brand new. You'll run into rough edges before we find them. Tell us when you do, at latido.fm/contact or in Discord. Founding Artists aren't just early users, they're who this gets built for and with.
