How to add a canvas to your track

A canvas is a short looping video that plays behind your song on phones. Make one from your cover in a few taps, or use your own clip. Free, and it takes about a minute.

  1. Open your Library

Tap Library in the bar at the bottom. On a computer it is on the left side.

  2. Tap + Canvas on your song

A canvas is a looping video behind your song. The + Canvas button opens the track editor. If a song already has a canvas, you see a Canvas badge instead.

  3. Find the Canvas box

It is near the bottom of the editor, under the cover.

  4. Pick a style

Slow zoom, Drift, Breathe, Aurora or Sparks. A short line under the styles tells you what each one looks like. Not sure? Start with Slow zoom.

  5. Tap Make canvas

Latido makes the video from your cover, right on your phone or computer. It takes a few seconds and shows the progress. Keep the page open until it finishes.

  6. Watch the preview

Your canvas loops here. Not happy? Pick another style and tap Make canvas again. You can also tap Remove to start over.

  7. Or use your own clip

Tap Use my own clip to choose a video from your phone or computer. We use the first 8 seconds, crop it to vertical, and remove the sound. MP4 or MOV, under 150 MB.

  8. Tap Save changes

The canvas is saved with your track when you tap Save changes. If you leave without saving, it is not kept.

  9. Play your song to see it

On phones, the canvas fills the screen as soon as your song starts. Songs with a canvas also get a small badge in the lists, so people can spot them.
