How to find your best 15 seconds and make a promo video

The Hook finder listens to your song, finds the three best parts, and turns your favorite into a vertical video for Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts. Free, and it takes a few minutes.

  1. Open the Hook finder

Find it under Tools, or tap the button under this guide. It finds the best part of your song, the part that makes a strong Reel, TikTok or Short.

  2. Choose how long

Pick 10 seconds for a quick teaser, 15 for Reels, or 30 for a fuller preview.

  3. Pick one of your tracks

Tap a song under Your tracks on Latido (sign in first to see them). You can also drop in any audio file instead. A file you drop in is not uploaded: the work happens in your browser.

  4. Give it a moment

It listens for the loud parts that come back more than once, the way a chorus does, and cuts them on the beat.

  5. Look at the three options

Each one shows where it starts and ends and how strong a match it is. The colored bars on the waveform show where they sit in your song.

  6. Optional: have them ranked

Tap Rank with AI and it listens to the whole song, puts the three in order, and says why. It works on tracks you uploaded to Latido.

  7. Preview, then tap Use this

Tap Preview to hear an option. When you like one, tap Use this.

  8. Tap Make promo video

It makes a vertical 1080 by 1920 video: your cover and title while the hook plays, then a short Latido end card. Untick the end card if you do not want it.

  9. Keep the tab open while it works

A progress bar shows how far along it is. Stay on the page until it finishes.

  10. Download your video

Tap Download MP4. It is ready to upload to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Facebook.
