How to make an album

Group your own tracks into an album: one cover, its own page, and an Albums tab on your artist page. You can even release it on a date you choose. Free, and it takes about two minutes.

  1. Tap New album

Open your Library and tap New album at the top. On a computer you can also use + Create next to Your library on the left.

  2. Choose An album

An album is your own release: only your tracks, in your order. A playlist is a mix of tracks from any artist. You can switch later from Edit.

  3. Give it a name

Type the album's name, and a line about it if you like. The description shows on the album page.

  4. Pick a cover

Choose a color, upload your own art, or tap Generate cover to make one.

  5. Tap your tracks in order

Only your own tracks are listed. The order you tap them in is the track order, and you can drag them into a new order later. Tracks still in review can go on it too.

  6. Choose when it goes live

Leave it on Right away, or pick a date and time to release it later. There is a separate guide on scheduling a release.

  7. Tap Create album

Your album is ready. If you scheduled it, only you can see it until the release time.

  8. Your album has its own page

Share its link anywhere. To add more tracks later, tap the + on any of your tracks and choose the album under Add to album.

  9. It shows on your artist page

Your artist page gets an Albums tab, and each track on the album says which album it is from.

  10. Already made a playlist of your own songs?

Open it. If every track on it is yours, you will see Make it an album. One tap turns it into an album, and its old link keeps working.
