How to schedule a release

Upload a track or an album now and choose the day it goes public. Until then only you can see it, and your followers hear about it the moment it is out. Free, and it takes a minute.

  1. Upload your track as usual

Fill in the title, the audio and the rest. Near the bottom you will find When should it go live?

  2. Choose Pick a date and time

It starts on next Friday at 12:00 AM, the usual day for new music. Leave it on As soon as it's approved if you want it out right away.

  3. Set the day and time

The time is your own time zone. You can pick any time up to a year ahead.

  4. Submit it

It is reviewed as usual, often before the release day, so it is ready on time. You get an email that says it is approved and when it goes public.

  5. It says Scheduled

In your Library the track shows Scheduled and the date. Only you can see it until then. To change the time, open Edit on the track. Once something is public it cannot be moved back to a later date.

  6. Releasing an album? Schedule it too

When you create or edit an album, pick a date and time, and keep Hold its tracks until then ticked. Its tracks come out with the album, so nothing leaks early.

  7. At release time, it is out

It goes public on the minute. Your followers get a notification, people who chose new-music emails get one email, and you get a You're live email to share it.
