How to sing songs on Latido Karaoke

Turn your TV into a karaoke stage: pick a song, sing as the words light up, turn the singer down, and let friends add songs from their phones with a party code. Free, and nothing to download.

  1. Open Latido Karaoke on your TV

Open latido.fm/karaoke in your TV's web browser, or on a laptop plugged into the TV. Tap Full screen so the words fill the room. A TV remote works too: the arrows move around and OK picks.

  2. Pick a song

Every song here has its words timed to the music. Search for a song or an artist, or tap a style to narrow the list. Then tap a cover to start.

  3. Sing as the words light up

Each word lights up as it's sung, in the color of the song's cover. The next line waits underneath, and dots count you in after a long break. Tap the screen or press any key to bring the buttons back.

  4. Turn the singer down with Vocals

Some songs have a vocal-free version, and on those a Vocals button shows. Tap it to switch between low, on and off. Low keeps a quiet voice to follow along with. The screen remembers your choice for next time.

  5. Start a party

Want friends to choose songs too? Go back to All songs and tap Start a party. Nobody needs an account, and a party lasts up to 12 hours.

  6. Your TV shows a code

A QR code and four letters appear next to the songs. While someone sings, they stay in the top corner, so people can join at any time.

  7. Guests join from their phones

Guests point their phone camera at the QR code and the party opens. Or they go to latido.fm/karaoke/join, type the four letters and tap Join. There's no app to download.

  8. Guests add songs to the line

They type their name so the TV can call them up, find a song and tap Add. Their phone shows their place in line and what's coming up next.

  9. Sing the line in order

Songs show up on the TV under Up next as soon as they're added. Tap Start the next song. The X takes a song off the line, and End the party closes it when you're done.

  10. The next singer is called up

When a song ends, the TV shows who's up next and counts down from 10, then starts their song by itself. Tap Sing it now to go straight away. With nobody in line, the next song on the list plays.

  11. Artists: your songs are already in

If you make music on Latido, your live songs with lyrics show up in Karaoke by themselves once their words are timed. To let fans sing over the music without your voice, turn on Let fans sing my songs without my vocals in your Profile. You can turn either one off any time.
