The story behind this song
I spend a lot of time driving around, and that is actually how this song came to be. Whenever I am on the road, I use a microphone clipped right into my air vent. I also bring along a half size full acoustic guitar that somehow manages to sound just like a full sized one. With those tools, I just play and sing while I am driving, and that is how a whole lot of my songs get made and transformed into other genres. This track specifically was born right there in the car, and it ended up having very little editing done to it later. Usually, I might turn something like this into a death metal song, but this time I decided to just leave it as a full acoustic piece. When I make a rap song, or dive into horrorcore-trap-doom-metal, those tracks are intricately written and very meticulous. But this one kept its simple, acoustic drive, capturing that exact moment of making music while on the move.

Lyrics
Here I am again You're wondering where I've been Here I am again You're wondering where I've been You're wondering where I've been I've been on the road for some time I hope you didn't mind You knew what you were getting into You said it wouldn't bother you too much Here I am again Again you're wondering where I've been I've been on the road for some time I'm so tired of driving I consume so much caffeine It would probably kill most beings Caffeine ain't the only thing Here I am again Again you're wondering where I've been I've been on the road for some time I'm so tired of driving You knew what you were getting into And you accepted this life too You said you'd be okay I was just wondering when you'd say Where are you now Say it so loud And are you going to be back And you know you know I can't answer that I can't answer that Here I am again Wondering where I've been These places I go You are not to know It's secret It's secret to civilians I don't think you would like Living on these black sites No communication Here I am again Wondering where I've been I've been on the road for some time I'm so tired of driving You knew what you were getting into
