The story behind this song

I wrote Stars Apart around 2018. It started from a riff and melody I'd carried around for years. I recorded the demo myself in GarageBand with guitar, bass, drums and a scratch vocal, and played the guitar solo myself, which is the part I'm proudest of. Since singing isn't my strength, I used Suno to render the vocals and final mix from my demo. It's an orchestral rock ballad about a lonely man in space bound for a new world, missing the people he left behind. AI disclosure: AI-assisted, made with Suno on a paid plan with commercial use.
