BPM and key finder: find the tempo and key of any song

Free BPM finder and song key finder: drop in an MP3, WAV or M4A and get its tempo, its key, the Camelot code for DJ mixing and the relative key. No sign-up, and the file never leaves your browser.

How it works

For the tempo, it finds where the beats hit and measures the steady gap between them. For the key, it adds up how much of each of the 12 notes sounds across the song and compares that with every major and minor key.

Why it offers half or double the BPM

A song at 75 BPM and one at 150 BPM share the same pulse: one counts every other beat. Trap and drill are often felt in half time, so pick the number that matches how you'd clap along.

What is the Camelot code?

DJs use the Camelot wheel to mix songs whose keys sound good together. Each key gets a number from 1 to 12 and a letter: A for minor, B for major. Songs with the same code, or one number up or down, blend smoothly.
